摘要(Abstract)：

中国蚧虫研究史可以分为早、中、晚 3期 ,各期的时间间隔依次为 184 8- 1935 - 1973-现在。 184 8年为法国 Chavannes氏订定中国特产、也是第一个蚧虫 (白蜡虫 )为拉丁学名的年份 ;1935年出版了胡经甫教授的巨著《中国昆虫名录》的蚧科 (现称为蚧总科 ) ;至于 1973年 3月则为中国动植物志编委会在广东召开成立大会的时间 ,从此以后 ,一反早、中期由外人控制我国蚧虫研究的现象 ,开始新中国三志 (动物、植物、微生物 )由国人主持调查、研究、编写的新局面。蚧虫志和其它志的编写进度一样 ,在近期的 2 8年 ,已做出了显著成绩。据最近统计 ,剔除同种异名 ,我国近期已记录蚧虫有 14科 30 2属 115 5种 (其中大陆 85 2种 ,台湾 30 3种 )。考早期记录为 11个科 12 0属 32 0种 (其中大陆 15 2种 ,台湾 16 8种 ) ;中期记录为 12科 195属 6 0 9种 (其中大陆317种 ,台湾 2 92种 )。由此全国已记录蚧虫种数超过了早期的近 3倍 ,也超过了中期的近 1倍 ,而且在早、中期时台湾的种数均超过或接近大陆 ,而近期则大大改观 ,大陆已知种几超过台湾 2倍。但以大陆之大于台湾5 0倍 ,如细加考察 ,其种数尚可成倍增长。
The study history of Coccoid-fauna in China may be divided into three stages: viz., the early, middle and modern ones by the mark years 1848-1935-1973 to recent days. The year 1848 labelled the 1st Chinese scale was named in Latin nomenclature, Coccus pela by Chavannes;the year 1935 indicated that the late professor Wu Chenfu of Yenching University of China published and distributed his great work 《Catalogue Insectorum Sinensium》(Coccidae);the year 1973 established the Editorial Committee on Animal Fauna Study of China. After careful review of the systematic taxa of Coccoid-fauna recorded in China in each stage, found that there are 320 species of 120 genera in 11 families in the early stage, 609 species of 195 genera in 12 families and 1155 species of 320 genera in 14 families in the middle and modern stages separately.
